Parent and Spectator Code of Ethics
It is the goal of Effingham Recreation and Parks to provide a positive, fun learning environment in each and every sport offered through our department. While we recognize that winning and competitiveness is part of the excitement of sports, we hold our parents to exceptional behavioral standards. Our programs are designed for children to learn fundamentals, techniques, sportsmanship and teamwork, while having fun and creating life long memories. To do so, parents are expected to lead by example, maintain a positive attitude, as well as showing respect and support for the coaches, who give up their time to volunteer.
At the time of registration for any sport offered through our program, parents are required to read and sign a “Parent and Spectator Code of Ethics” agreement. We truly believe in shaping the character of our young athletes by being worthy examples.
